current uniform, week two {self-portrait challenge}

what i wear 2

when the day demands a change from flannel, you can usually find me in jeans, a sweater coat, a t-shirt, and some comfortable slip-on shoes.

i think that the sweater coat invites a sense of coziness and safety and warmth. all good things when the air is chilly and the day is winnie-the-pooh blustery.

(i can't believe that i once wore pantyhose and suits and heels to work every day. today, i am so lucky.)

I love sweater coats! Sweater coats and cardigans are my favorite items of clothing. Those shoes are pretty cute too.

i hear you! i can't believe that i wore starched and ironed shirts, suits, heels and formal gear to work every day in the past either!
i remember how i used to feel like two different people -work me vs. real me- oh the relief to be myself all the time now :D

love to you liz,
Vx

I know! The pantyhose is the killer for me - nowadays jeans are de rigeur. Your look is brilliant my friend - I love this shot of you. xo

oh GOD I love what you are wearing-- and shouldnt there be a song of celebration of not having to "dress" for the office anymore?!

Oh yes-- let's make up a song because I am with you-- I always remember how grateful I am that my work day has me in favorite comfy clothes with my hair up in top knots and paint on my chin!

i am a new reader to your blog with praise and appreciation for your lovely, thoughtful words.

i also have a question (as someone working in an office job, but who wants and truly needs out of that setting and those clothes): is there a previous post in which you shared what you used to do and what you do now to pay the bills - and how you made the switch? and if there is not such a post, would you please be willing to share some details? from someone needing inspiration - i thank you very much.

those shoes are freaking adorable!! and i heart sweater coats, they are the best!!

i refuse to wear pantyhose and find ways to indulge my comfort while somewhat conforming to an office environment. i envy you lucky girls who work from home, i really do ...

hope your day is beautiful!! xox

Liz elayne:
I have been AWOL from my publishing domain, and I returned to view Poetry Thursday yesterday -- to find the doors shuttered.

I am sorry to see it go.

Thank you for everything that you and Dana put together over 18 months....I did a short eulogy to the site on my post yesterday.

Be well.
