{SPT} tea time, sushi, and pj's
Another week of this daily self-reflection...self-acceptance.
It is getting easier. (a tiny bit easier). I like that I felt happy when most of these pictures were taken. Though I admit that it was hard not to crack up as I took these. Something about posing in front of that polaroid has just made me giddy this week. But that soons goes away. I take a sip. Then I breathe in and I breathe out. Watching the picture of me, my face, my huge face, develop before me. Breathe in, notice the mind. Breathe out, let go again. And again. And again.
(Warming up after a day of flea market finds, half-price books, and walks outside.)
(Yes, I was tired, but not that tired. Right now though, I feel like I look in that one.)
(Taking a quick break before searching for more information about ArtFest. Have you heard? I am going!)
(I am as tired as I look. And still wearing pj's as noon aproaches. Though I have actually showered but just decided to put the pj's back on.)
(No, we do not have the ugliest couch in America. In fact, I am in a booth at our favorite Japanese restaurant I Love Bento. After a long, long, long day, Jon and I went out for sushi and this was finally a time when we could both take a deep breath. And I could enjoy my favorite tea in all the world.)
(The house may be quiet, but I am snuggling in for a night of blogging and my new green tea with brown rice.)
(Edna Mode is on the otherside of this mug. Do you know her? Find out who she is and study her ways.)

This is so cute; you are very creative. Where's the answer key?:)
I am sipping tea as I write this is my pj's...berry tea. Too early for coffee. It is just before 7:00 AM my time and I wanted to listen to the quiet before everyone woke up. In two hours I meet with the event planner; I am excited and nervous and full of emotion.
I will write you late and tell you how it goes...
Your pictures convey such a warm and cozy feel, a love of learning, books, and comfort.
Many, many days, I stay in my pajamas for the duration! Also, I love flea markets and half price books--it's always exciting to find an old copy of a book that you've been wanting to read.
And finally, Edna Mode is my role model! Yes, she needs studied! Those mannerisms, that accent, that fashion sense! My favorite part was when she forbade him to have a cape on his costume--the descriptions of all of the other superheroes who had been sucked into vortexes, etc! "NO CAPE!" Thanks for making me just laugh!
I wish I could go to a flea-market and half-priced bookstore with you Liz, and then finish with a cup of tea.
Oh how I LOVE Edna Mode. ONce I sewed my son some superhero gloves with no holes for the fingers- and he called me Edna Mode. it was one of my proudest moments! Haha.
Well, I think from those descriptions I could match pic to sentiment for at least 4 of the days!
I'm still lovin' this series.
Oh! Edna ... I have a couple of quotes I printed from her and keep in my kitchen: "I never look back, daahling, it distracts from the now."
And, perhaps my very favorite, which comes from the bonus features: "Super heroes are easy. Mediocrity is much more difficult to work with and it’s in such great supply.”
I loved watching all those smiles come onto my screen ... I loved playing your matching game and I LOVE that you love Edna Mode.
P.S.--Cate, My 5-year-old does the best "Do you remember Thun-da-head?" heehee
I love the mugs!! You must have quite a collection! Glad its getting easier every week. Sounds like a great exercise.
really darling! heehee...we are edna fans too. in fact for my son's birthday (next month) everyone has to come dressed as their favorite superhero. britt wants to be dash and he wants me to be the mean buddy. any suggestions on how to get my hair to stand up like that?
I"M NOT ALONE!!!!!
I thought I was the only one who truly appreciated Edna! But look, all of you like her too!!
I love the fact that she's my same height LOL and that she orders people around SOOOO well! I love her security systems at her estate too, they always make me laugh.
I haven't watched that movie in forever *sigh* I wonder if I could buy & watch it, and call that an Artist Date??
there you are beautiful!
i look forward to these.
i love your Mug and your Mugs.
;-)
Hi Liz! You look really happy in MOST of these -- so cute! And congrats on Artfest! Yay -- sounds fabulous. Wish I could go, too, but alas, not this year. You and Kelly will have to meet up there. Also, I love your hummingbird picture, and love the text that accompanies it, and that the words CLIMB UP stand out!
Nice pics. The first words that came to mind was: Am loving the smile.
I'm glad I took a break from studying to read your site...and I like the artwork. Good luck with it all.

P.S. I grew up in Niles. Left in '94, when I went to College. Was real close to going to ND!
Liz,
I have been trying to email you, but something is wacky with my computer tonight (it is driving me crazy...and I still need to fold the laundry, Ack!!). I can't send email, but I can receive it...I think. I want to talk to you about my meeting. Maybe we can talk on the phone tomorrow; meaning Thursday. We have library group until 11 AM, but after that we are free. Let me know. If your email gets bounced back, leave me a comment on my blog. Hope you are well. Talk to you soon.
-Melanie
P.S. -It was all good with the planner!
Oh, my blasted overly restrictive allergen-elimination diet. I need something other than water to drink! In the beverage department, it’s been 39 days of water, water and more water. Give me some of that tea.
Woohoo and nice to see you featured on SPT!
