you are loved (and a giveaway)

Woke up this morning with a strong need to tell you (yes you) this:

I know sometimes joy might feel far away.

I know sometimes it might feel like people don't get it, don't get you.

I know sometimes the loneliness can feel tangible.

I know sometimes love feels confusing or even a bit lost in the midst of everything else.

I know sometimes the twirling, swirling thoughts take over even when you are trying to find the quiet spaces.

I know because this is my life too sometimes.

Today,
I want to invite you to take five deep breaths
and trust that you
(yes you)
are deeply loved.

(locket available in the shop)

This is my favorite soul mantra to hammer into lockets because I know the power of these words, of hearing them, wearing them, of having someone hand you a gift that says these words. So you know. So you trust. So you can hold onto the truth that you are loved.

Today, I'm giving away four of these "You Are Loved" Soul Mantra lockets to four different people.

To enter the giveaway, please leave a comment sharing who you would give one of these lockets to if you could. Be sure to put your email address in the email address box so that I can contact you. The giveaway closes Sunday evening, and I will announce the winners here in this post Monday morning.

Giveaway Winners:

I decided to giveaway 8 lockets because I was so moved by this entire experience. A new post about all of this coming soon, but here are the winners below:

Steve who wrote about giving it to his wife

Missy K who wrote about giving it to her friend

Thank you for sharing your light with the world,
Liz

I would give this to my mom for mothers day. She just lost her best friend (her own mother) and sometimes she just needs a reminder that she is not alone and she is loved =)

I think this would be lovely gift for my dear friend who recently lost her son tragically and unexpectedly.

If for some reason I couldn't possibly keep it for myself -- I'm being honest here -- "I am loved" is something I need to remind myself of, which is crazy, given how I'm surrounded by it, but there you go. Hmm, I'd give it to a friend who is struggling at work right now.

I would give one to each of the 4 medical students I am working with. They are so lovely-such bright and beautiful young women. They are working so hard and care so much about making a difference in the world. I adore them. Especially sweet this week was an email from one of them, asking how my husband is doing after surgery.

For my sister, who recently lost her husband.

Either my friend Sara, who just lost her grandfather, or my friend Margaret, who holds my heart in hers, and who has given me the gift of time.

I would give it to my best friend. She has been dealing with a hard breakup and now she is trying to find her identity more so as a single woman. I want her to explore and use her gifts to just spread love and be joyful always. Her home life is rough as her parents are going through a lot of trouble. I just want her to know that even if life seems "against" her, that she has hope to cling to and that she is such a lovely and comforting individual. She has helped me so much with things in my life and I'd love to give her a reminder that no matter what she is facing, she isn't alone and she is loved.

I would give it to my daughter. What a beautiful message to pass along to her and remind her, as she walks through life.

I would give one to my mother, sister, and to two of my dearest friends. All of whom have held me up and cheered me on. I'm so proud to do the same for them & being given the privilege to safeguard their hearts in mine.

I would give it to my teenage daughter who struggles with who she is and who she is becoming. It is such a difficult time as a girl becomes a woman. I would want her to wear it to protect her from the heart ache, confusion, and insecurity. I would want to celebrate with her the joy and excitement of the time as well. But most of all, I would want her to always know how much I love her.

I would love to give this to my little sister. She lost her son last March and has survived horrible abuse from her husband. She will be giving birth to her second son this March and she's is filled with mixed emotions. I know there are times when she feels as though she's all alone. That necklace would let her know that she's not and that she is loved no matter what is going on in her life. She is a truely incredible person, so I would love the chance to win this for her.

I would give it to my Mom. I think that part of the pact between parents and their children is to remind each other of this important truth whenever we forget.

I would give it to my mother who is made to feel like an outcast by her side of the family and often feels under appreciated. I'd love to give it to her as a gentle reminder that she is always loved.

You know Liz, I have been thinking of offering this mantra from you to one of my besties since I've discovered it. And never was able to.
She would really benefit this gentle reminder that she is so deeply loved, even when everything seems so dark both inside and out.

Thank you so much for the giveaway.

I would love this for my daughter who will be 12 years old soon. She is at that fragile age , entering puberty, and our whole world has been turned upside down with my recent diagnosis of breast cancer. She is so strong - way beyond her years - and I would love her to have this next to her heart, for the rest of her life.

I'd give it to my daughter who has special needs and finds life pretty rubbish at times (often asks me to take away her special needs away). She is moving out of home next month and this would be a fantastic present for her as every single day she tells me she loves me and as I'm not going to be there to tell her back, this will remind her x

My sister had her 2nd stroke in May of 2012. Unlike the 1st one, she is no longer mobile and has not been able to return home, nor do we expect her to be able to. We had to put all of her belongings in storage and release her home in November of 2012 and her emotions has been like a roller coaster ride. She has always been very active but now she sits in the bed all of the time. So I would give one to her so she could remember that she is never alone, instead she is always in my heart!

This is a powerful statement indeed. I would wrap this up in a simple brown box with a purple bow and mail it to my great aunt. She is the eldest in her family now and often alone. She is a sweet inspiration to me and she does so many sweet things for me and my boys. I know she'd wear it every day.

I am 40 years old. It is my second year teaching first grade. This is my second career. God loves me and I know that I am loved by so many. I would give this locket to all 14 of my cherubs in my class. With the way the world is today, if they are able to read and pray by the end of their year with me, then I have done my job. If they leave knowing that they are truly loved by me and unconditionally by God, then I have done my best! Regardless of whether I 'win' this raffle, I have won with love. I have also won by being blessed by your truly inspiring craft. Thank you for sharing it!

If I could choose someone to give this to, I'd give it to my little brother. He and I are very close and next fall when I go off to college will be a big change for both of us. I'm going to miss him so much

I would give this to my cousin, who never knew her father, whose mother passed a few years ago, who is an only child, and who always considered herself the black sheep, ugly duckling, outsider, if you will. She is unique, yes. But we all are. She is 'different', yes, but that's what is so awesome about her!! She is a wonderful person, and her birthday is coming up. I would love to surprise her with such a lovely gift she could wear and enjoy, always reminded of the fact that she is loved by me, and others! Thanks for the opportunity!

I would give this to a dear friend wHo is so beautiful, but struggles to accept herself.

March 1, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMissy K

I would give it to my friend who works faithfully for a great high school sharing love with others yet goes home to an empty house everyday & struggles to remember that even though her boys are grown up & gone and her husband has decided to leave and love another, she is loved by many!
