five (really) good things. today.
laughing out loud with a friend on the phone today (can't wait to see you friday!)
looking out my window and seeing a bright blue sky
seeing the tulips get taller each day as they prepare to bloom in a few weeks
folding into child's pose and breathing deeply
what are your five (really) good things?
name them...go ahead...take a moment and think of five...

oh Liz, you really do have such a great list. i've just done mine for today. thanks for the reminder
:)
oh a trip ~ how wonderful :)
my five really good things today are the fact that i didn't have to wear a toque this morning; how lovely it is to feel the sun on my head; orange hightlighting pens; flower shop tulips filling my house; big grey wool sweaters and beautiful coloured scarves :) xox
* a most spectacular sunset
* not one, but two phone dates with blogging lovelies after the children go to sleep this evening
* gorgeous pink tulips, you inspired me to buy for myself
* the arrival of a much anticipated book order full of goodness and perspective
* and as always, you and this gentle reminder to be present in the here and now.
have a fabulous trip, liz ;-)
much love,
xoxoxoxo
* a phone call this evening, very soon in fact
* a friend arriving tomorrow for a weekend visit
* a yummy full practice - i love my job
*rollerskating last night
*the tiniest of green buds on the tree outside my window - spring is just around the corner.
safe travels this weekend. xo
walking in the gardens and finding newly opened dwarf irises in purple and lavender, bulbs we don't even remember planting!
finding out my preliminary pathology report shows no evidence of cancer.
being able to move my neck today without having to move my body, too.
climbing into a warm bed with clean sheets.
listening to the chirping of our nesting songbirds and knowing that spring is really here!
1. BRIGHT sunshine today :-)
2. Concert tickets on order for Carbon/Silicon and The Police with Elvis Costello.
3. The discovery and commitment to a gluten-free diet, which has me feeling utterly and amazingly better!
4. 2 surprise orders on my Peace Things web site.
5. Dark Chocolate (rich, organic, savory morsels)
I hope you have a great trip! Hey, you'll be just next door in my neighboring state :-)
Freshly-squeezed blood orange juice? That's my list of five right there. :)
Beautiful, beautiful list.
My five:
Seeing Chris Rock live last night with one of my favorite people on earth.
That even though I was exhausted this morning, I still managed to have a really good day at work.
Caffeine highs.
That the sun is out!
My kitten asleep on my lap right now.
1. It's 50 degrees and sunny outside!
2. My cat was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer last summer, and yet somehow, despite the odds, he is here to enjoy the spring.
3. Beautiful fabric that I use as an impromptu scarf.
4. My son is trying so, so hard to improve at school.
5. I had a great art idea this morning that I'm going to try out before bed tonight.
Let's try this: it's sunny and lovely in san francisco today; taking off work early; taking a break for chai this afternoon; setting up a date with a new creative pal; wearing my new bootsies!
Wow thanks for this, Liz ~ At first I could not think of anything but now I'm smiling :D can you see?
xo
this is so packed to the brim with goodness!
bon voyage, liz :)

Hi,
here's my list of the moment :
° Being woken by birdsong and not my alarm clock...
° Finding my daughter snuggled up fast asleep in my bed where my husband usually sleeps (he left at 5am for long haul trip to the US, she must have sneaked in immediatly after his departure..!)
° The beautiful note left by my husband for me to find on awaking...
° Just the thought of this beautiful day ahead (a well deserved break from work!) and how I'm going to enjoy every second of it...
° The chance discovery of your beautiful blog..!
A bientôt !
