sounds of the season
one of my favorite holiday movies is white christmas. i so wish i could remember the first time my mom introduced me to it. i wish i remembered how old i was and where we were. but i do remember watching it every year with her when i was in my late teens and early twenties. i love an irving berlin musical and this one has everything: dancing, love, humor, glamour, snow (finally), misunderstandings, a sorting out of things, costumes, danny kaye...and really great songs. i will be sharing a few of them over the next week or so, but tonight, as we still have a bit on the ground and there are rumors of more, i will share this one.

liz,
i always love your posts. I am trying to teach myself to crochet. My grandmother was a master at it and I want to learn too.
Mmmm, yarn. I took Alma Stoller's crochet class at AFF, and can't wait to pick up the hook again. Probably as soon as I get the last present wrapped!
mine is 'its a wonderful life' ~ a christmas tradition that spans decades now, tee hee
i think i will also watch 'white christmas' this year and think of you :)
Liz,
I love reading your blog and am taking a few minutes to read some back posts that I have missed.
White Christmas is my all time favorite Christmas movie too. I like you would watch it with my Mum but I don't remember when we first started watching the movie together. Now I think of her when I watch the movie each year.
I hope you are on the mend and staying warm and cozy!
Peace!
