clutter into order (ordered clutter?)

august 23

i was going to go on about how the house is turned up on its head as we move the clutter into chaos into order. but then, i realized this is true of where i am in all things in some ways lately. and then i knew i was too sleepy to dive into all that comes with admitting this.

take another breath.

*****

All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.

- Anatole France

Oh, thank you for sharing this quote today! It is *so* perfect for where I am right now. I copied it down and will keep it in my journal.

Blessings and light amidst your chaos,

Lisa

My own "ordered chaos" is sometimes more ordered and sometimes chaotic. I can't figure how I can fold all the laundry and put it away and seemingly the next day there's a new pile waiting for the same treatment. And all that is in addition to 4 packrats in the house.

But the quote rings true too. Some part of me must love this chaos. Some part of my would grieve the loss of it. Maybe I'll journal with that side of myself today.

I am sooo feeling this right now. And in the grander scheme of things, it is good.

I'm in very much the same place right now--trying to make order of the chaos in so many areas. Feeling it right along with you :)

I'm decluttering too, Liz...MUCH more important to breathe...to rest...to live...the clutter will still be there with more besides when you are ready :)

ooh, good quote! Very good timing! I'm working on a ritual this weekend to set off into autumn fresh - this is a perfect piece to start!

I know how important this is to you Liz so I send you hugs and a clutter-free faerie to make your work easier, one that has ten outstretched hands per arm, each with a broom and secret organizing powers, that can have it all taken care of in a swish and a swash. If the faerie doesn't materialize, then put on some good music while you work!
