current uniform week one {self-portrait challenge}
flannel pjs and quilted patchwork scarf, 5 november 2007
the maple in our backyard has almost shed her clothing, anticipating her time of rest and renewel. the as old-as-the-house heater stirs a bit more often lately. soup, more mugs of tea, spiced cider, and roasted root vegetables become cravings.autumn has settled in for a stay. and today, it seems that winter has begun to write letting us know of her imminent arrival.
i tuck myself in for the day in flannel pajamas, a scarf, and some other necessities.
(see what other foks are wearing here)

The tea has been flowing down here too...the chilly, but beautifully clear sky days have been such a treat...especially since we do, afterall, live in the PNW.
The scarf....oh how absolutely divine it is...I adore it!!!!

i finally broke down and turned our heater on this weekend...and now today it's 72 degrees...the weather just can't seem to make up its mind...
lovely photo and very cool scarf. i love patchwork and i also love the curlique stitching I see.
mmm...you look so cozy! did you make the scarf? so cute.
That scarf is beautiful...it is still early enough in the season that I am loving the steaming mugs and flannel clothes. By March, I know I'll feel differently!
