a self-portrait
I have put on my bathing suit and jumped off the diving board right into the world of Inspire Me Thursday...so at least once a week you are going to see something I have created with my own two hands. This week I tried creating my self-portrait with crayons. But I had trouble translating it over the scanner...but here it is all the same. This is how you can often find me. Trying to find my breath in the midst of the ramblings of my monkey mind.
Click on over to Inspire Me Thursday to see some other self-portraits and explore some amazing blogs.

Love the self-portrait! It's great. Congratulations on having the courage to share your creations. And as for the monkey mind...ahhh...I know it well...keep breathing.
excellent! I love it!
i love this...
:)
Seeing this I think, "I really should start meditating again..." But then, I think that a lot...and still don't. Hmmm...wonder why...
"Monkey mind"!! Love it - almost as good as "warward tulip"! Glad you're having fun with art! I love the inspire-me thursday thing; just discovered it. There are so many activities to participate in on the blogs. I had no idea. I've been doing as many of Swirly's figments as I can find time for, but I'm lagging right now. Maybe I'll try to do the next inspire-me thursday.
i love this!
Monkey mind ... I LOVE that ... mine's been bouncing and scratching all day today. Can I borrow that name for it? I love that you chose crayons ... awesome!
Monkey mind...a great term. I discovered it in the yoga world. I love the image of the monkey jumping from branch to branch trying to figure out how to make sense of it all in your brain.
My teacher uses it and I have started talking about it in my classes too.
I have to post mine too ~ very similar girlfriend.
I really like your signature. . .
oh, this is great, Liz! monkey brain -- i have definitely experienced that! so glad you joined in the fun at IMT!
p.s. i tagged you -- check my blog :)
You did a great job! I was trying to read what was typed in your brain though and couldn't. If its like mine, probably better that way huh.
;)
Nice job again!
