yes.
a peek of a new work in progress (that has been waiting patiently in my idea notebook for years)
came across these words today when looking for the story from a line of my creations that i sold at a few shows in 2008...the following isn't from that story but is instead a thought that flitted across my mind about two years ago for some reason, and i am so glad i wrote it down. today, when i read it, i exhaled with the word "yes" as i nodded and smiled softly to myself:
in the little room,
she might not spin straw into gold,
wear glass slippers,
or dream of being rescued
but she does
stitch dreams, stories,
and all that was
into more than she ever thought
her future could hold

we know so much more than we realize we know...
That is a lovely little poem.
We never know what our future holds. It unfolds before us, an adventure.
