tea for one

As part of my current collaboration with eBay, I recently wrote a guide about taking the time to drink a cup of tea as an act of self-care. If you've been around here for a while, you know that one of my go-to self-care moves is to focus on my senses, and in this guide, I dive into how drinking a cup of tea can actually be like a senses meditation.

You can read it here and other guides I've written for eBay here.

The photos with this guide (including the one above), taken by Vanessa Simpson of Focus in Photography, make me so happy.

Hi Liz
I just started re-reading your book "Inner Excavation." I as I approach a new year and the array of creative ideas that are eagerly waiting to be launched from my head, I plan to use some of the exercises in your book to help me settle and focus. I just opened your blog and found your article on A Cup of Tea. It resonates with me because I am a life long tea drinker and always have used it to calm and relax me and to slow down my day. As I sit here in my office at work this morning looking at your book I am sipping a cup of green tea. I am also a poet, so your book and the article on tea make me feel as though we are somehow kindred spirits. I look forward to reading the rest of your book again and to exploring more of your website and blog.
