even though...

even though my email looks more like a mountain each day
even though my to do list is multiplying at an alarming rate
even though my hair is falling out at an even faster rate
even though i sometimes don't know what to do next
this is what i know,
my life is pretty beautiful because each day is also filled with this:

Oh, she is beautiful, and that smile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My great granddaughter Olivia-Rose was born at the end of this last May, weighing only two pounds (if that), and it was touch and go for several months. The doctors thought there was no way she would make it, and I wore out at least one mala sitting in waiting rooms. Little warrior that she is, Olivia hung right in there, and every day is a miracle because she is here with us. The thought of a world without her in it is too appalling for words.
