this day.

forest exploring, olympic peninsula . april, 2009

give yourself permission
to let this moment
this moment
right now
be just for you

find your breath

notice your next inhale...
then the exhale that follows

let your mind rest
inside the movement
of your breath
in your body

find the rhythm of this movement

inhale
chest opens
exhale
shoulders relax
inhale
heart opens
exhale
feel the space inside you

when you are ready
to return
to what is to happen next
know this:

you have all the tools you need for this day
and the next
and the next

namaste.

Just what I needed. A reminder to just sink into my being and be. Just be me. Just be silent.

I was quite sad this morning, but I took a walk in my favorite park, allowing myself to be sad, trying not to fight it. And then I meditated for a few minutes in the Japanese garden, and the sadness lifted. And I chatted with an older man about his Canon and his photography, and my spirits soared. What a gift it is to be in the moment. Namaste!

Thanks Liz, I needed that. I spent the day getting introduced to the VA medical system and was rather frustrated afterwards. Then spent two hours chatting online with a long lost friend from my Air Force days I had not talked to in over 15 years... When I finally slowed down and looked inside, my head was literally buzzing. Now I can sleep...

You're the best!

Nice tilt shift Liz.
Forest exploring is a meditation in itself, isn't it?
