17 things inviting my lips to turn up a bit today

little smile

deciding to sleep for an extra hour this morning.

the sun shined for a few minutes today.

cooking lunch for myself and then not working while eating.

my boss's delightful sense of humor.

feeling cocooned by community. (thank you)

listening to the political heads talk on cnn.

wearing my new mickey sweatshirt (it is so soft).

my always straight for my whole life hair is starting to curl when i let it air dry.

the way millie followed me around all day, right by me in every single moment, until she heard the magical sound of the keys in the back door and suddenly found a new source to shadow.

singing loudly in the shower.

looking down and seeing that my AOUSs (ankles of unusual size) are normal again. (does this happen to anyone else when flying across the country? how do i prevent this?)

beginning to replace all the not so great underwear with the new favorite underwear so that each morning i put on a favorite pair instead of an "oh crap i need to do laundry" pair.

the umbrella resting against the back step that i used so that i did not have to get wet while millie did her thing in the midst of this evening's downpour. (thanks for keeping it there.)

saying no to something, even though the decision was hard, saying no.

lighting the healing candle and believing.

realizing that grey's anatomy is new.

remembering there is a frosty in the freezer (and then consuming it while watching grey's anatomy).

:) You gradually exchanging your underwear collection made me smile - exactly what I'm doing too! It's the little things that build the important things in life I think, and starting with something you love closest to your skin really does make a difference. Millie following you around was the other thing - bless! xoxox

I am catching up and reading most recent post first, but oh how I love this photo of you:)

And the list-you write such fabulous lists.

I alsways get such a good feeling about where you are at the moment you wrote it, and I love that.

I enjoyed a new greys last night too.
Kisses

just bought two new packs of undies at wallyworld last week.
a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. i can't wait for the day that delilah outgrows her puppyness and will follow me around without taking detours to eat paper, rummage through trash or bark while i am on the phone....what a fun list.

nice list.

flying causes swollen feet and ankles for many. a good way to counteract this is to move your feet a lot while flying. we fly across country once or twice a year, and i point my toes up and kick my heels lightly on the floor about 10 mins. every hour. it is also good to get up and walk 2-3 times during a cross country flight. if your doc will prescribe a diuretic that will remove the fluid the next morning if you take it upon arrival at each destination. the biggest issue regarding this subject is not the "fluid" retention but the possiblity of getting clots in our legs when flying because we are not moving our feet. MOVE them as much as you can. :)

i was surprised to see that grey's was new too. would have watched today, but my girl is home sick today.
and new panties...girl, it's so important. i feel bad if i start the day with panties riding up my bum, or cutting into my skin. i just bought new panties yesterday as i've thrown out oldies.

happy weekend. xoxo

finding underwear you love and an umbrella by the door. I'm smiling just thinking of it!

:)

I'm so glad those beautiful lips are turning the other way today.

Okay, well first I am happy to see the the underwear one also made everyone else smile...because having to wear the "oh crap, I need to do laundry" ones can simply start a day off on the wrong...um? he he

Wonderful list and it makes me happy that those lips are turning right side up.

And hurrah for waves! Has you hair felt better since your home beautification?

xoxoxoxo and love

I found your blog on Swirly Girl. I love your list. I love to sing loud in the shower, and in the car, and just in general. The only one who appreciates it is my 15 month old who often signs "more" with a big smile.

Thats an inspiring list. I especially love the underwear item. Probably we could all do with that one :)

Having an email from you today turned up my lips, Liz. I'd already scheduled making something I see on your list here one of my Saturday Seeds later in the month. I've been sleeping in a little bit and getting up earlier a little bit this week. I'm enjoying deciding when to get up day by day.

i need to replace all my underwear, i really really do

and if you can imagine, i keep an umbrella by the door even in the winter, standing by the bins filled with scarves and toques and mitts, eternal optimist am i ;)

my straight as straight can be hair curls slightly if i let it dry in pigtails, just the teensiest curl but it makes my lips turn up :)

have a beautiful weekend love, xox

I'm so glad you're finding so much to smile about! I agree with Sky on moving your feet. Make circles with your feet, just while sitting in your seat for a few minutes regularly throughout the flight. It's so scary when the ankles swell like that!

Ooooo, how I excited I was with the new Grey's Anatomy too - but, how could Meridith not want to build a house with McDreamy??? Crazy woman! xx, JP/deb
