tangled up in minty green
life is like a ball of yarn…
sometimes it is seemingly perfect,
and then there are days when you get lost in the tangles,
but it is always full of beautiful potential.
This is me trying to be (ahem...) philosophical so that I don’t just take my scissors to this tangle. I would like crocheting a lot more if I didn’t spend twice as long trying to get the yarn into a ball that isn’t tangled than I actually spend crocheting.
Yes, my friends, these three photos are all connected, literally, by a thread.

One day I want to learn to crochet. I can go one direction all day...a chain. But I can't seem to turn around. :) Kh
I like the green, but I want more pink!
(I know you have a deeper message in this post, but I am choosing to go with the superficial response.)
Lovely post :)
I would like to crochet again too, just can't seem to be able to find time...

You are are really building up some creative juices before Artfest!
I can crochet but have done more knitting. Some people have better luck making their own center-pull balls by using a small pill bottle or film canister (do they even have those any more?). Just tuck the end of the yarn inside and put the cap on and start winding. Once you've got a small ball going you can remove the bottle or canister if you like so there isn't such a huge hole when you're done.
Rock on!
well...
heh...
considering i threw
my crochet project
at the wall
last night
in a fit of frustration,
i guess i can't offer
much in the line of advice
:)
Thanks for your prompt this week, and for these great pictures - I love the way you broke out that philosophy into yarn!
Great series of photos, Liz! It really conveys such a mood, such a feeling of possibility, seeing the yarn go from that. . . to that. . . to that! I got a big smile on my face when I scrolled down to the third picture. Makes me want to knit, too!
Your photos inspired me today...
