felt circle garland tutorial...and a video post
i have been wanting to create a video blog post for a while now (inspired by donna downey and her delightful posts). so, i decided to create one for the felt circle garland tutorial. even if you don't plan on making the garland (or don't need a tutorial), i thought you might enjoy this little invitation into my home...though i am a tad bit longwinded...sorry about that...i just had so much fun "talking" to all of you out there in blog world!
i mentioned the following blogs/posts/projects in this video post:
alicial paulson and her pom pom and bead garland
sally shim and her linen leaf mobile
anna maria horner's felt garland tutorial via autum (and when i said it didn't require sewing, i totally meant it doesn't require a sewing machine as it does indeed include handsewing)
the little soft trees we made last year

What a joy to hear your voice and to see you talk! Thanks for spreading the Christmas joy!
oh my gosh ~ you are so cute, i wanted to reach through my screen and hug you (i'm a huggy person) ...
i love your video blog post and have been toying with doing one myself as a poetry reading but have yet to pull out my dv cam from whatever box it lives in ;-)
i absolutely love the garland though and have been threatening to pull out my sewing machine since i moved into this house, it was my grandmother's and i learned to sew on it sitting at her little cabinet, it was our thing. i think she would love this fun project and would love me to finally pull it out this christmas. thank you liz for being so inspiring and um so beautiful and cute : ) tee hee ...
and i adore happy accidents and your happy accident is lovely lovely lovely :)
This was so wonderful I watched it twice...partly, of course, because it was so wonderful to hear your voice AND see you all at the same time. When we do finally get our weekend together, I so need to learn how to use a sewing machine.
I hope you and Jon have a wonderful weekend...I miss you and am sending love.xoxo
Oh Liz--that was so much fun to have you with me in my family room this morning (while I'm still in my pajamas!) And how cute is that garland--oh my gosh! You have inspired me to at least thinkg about making a video, too. Great to see you friend! xo, T

Your video was so fun to watch! You did such a great job with it. The tutorial was helpful too. Thank you for sharing this idea. I'm going to pick up felt today and start cutting circles today.
If only I knew how to use a sewing machine, but it was worthing watching to finally hear your voice!

Perhaps the cutest tutorial ever. Thanks so much, and have fun with the final stages of your holiday preparations.
Oh, I agree with everyone - that was excellent! Worth it just to see you in real life and hear your voice. :) I'm going to make that garland for sure, in one or other version that you mentioned. I'm thinking a mobile... You're so inspiring - thank you for all the non-perfection encouragement, I too am one who needs that. xoxo
