growth.

pear season

We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.

i love this
and i love how it fits
with how i have been feeling
the past day or so...
mixed feelings about
christmas
and childish anger and hurt
that not every one
shares my
a-hem...
enthusiasm
for christmas...
but this quote kind of helps
me to put that into perspective,
thanks for that!
:)

And sometimes we revisit places and pieces of ourselves from the past...places we weren't ready for the first time...but now that we've grown we can circle back around...pick them up...and continue growing forward.

Happy Thanksgiving, Liz! xoxo
