(this is truth)
Oh, the comfort - the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person - having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.

Great photo :) I have a very strong connection with pomegranates, and this is a beauty.
The prose is lovely as well and absolute Truth...yes!
By the way, I believe that Marion Evens (George Elliot) is the originator of that quote :) I've had it in a journal I started about 30 years ago of favorite sayings....
absolutely perfect! I love this. Aren't we lucky when we find that person!
Hi Grace,
Thanks for your words...
Just a quick note: People often think that eliot wrote this quote - I remembered reading it years ago and thinking it was her as well. But according to a few sites (here is one: http://www.geonius.com/eliot/quotes.html), Craik wrote these words.
Blessings,
Liz
oh yes, yes! i *love* that quote. and thanks for putting me straight cos I always thought it was eliot.
:)
What a wonderful, centering quote. By the way, I've tagged you over at my site. xx, JP/deb
What if we all did that for each other all the time? That's the world I want to live in.
;-)
I love this beautiful picture of the pomegranates.

Oh! Thank you so much for correcting that for me, Liz! I've had it wrong all these years... isn't it funny how things get misassociated??? I often find my teeth grinding when Nelson Mandela is given credit for Marianne Williamson' beautiful quote. Maybe it is because I'm a writer myself, that this is important.
Much thanks! :)
:) oh yes!!
(i thought it was eliot as well ~ thank you)
