a tag

acumamakiki tagged me to share five weird things about me. here goes:

1) I usually hate how my hair looks, but my friends often tell me that they wish they had hair like mine.
2) I have the smallest baby toenail you have ever seen. When I get a pedicure, the pedicurist has to basically paint it on (though she says she has seen smaller).
3) When I was a kid, I used to "cook" by mixing cheerios, honey, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and raisins in a bowl. Oh and I would eat it. And now, when sometimes when people ask me "what would you like to eat?" I think about this concoction and wish I could have some of it again.
4) I have a very low self-esteem when it comes to how I look, but I have chosen to teach yoga. For 3-7 hours a week a room full of people stare at my body and how it moves. And when I am teaching, I never think about how I look, but before class and after class it is at the forefront of my mind.
5) I flunked chemistry in college. F. And then I married a science teacher.

I would like to tag Yankee Belle, Bella, Frankie and beansprout - I think they would each add their own special brand of humor and insight into such a list.

hilarious and creative and intense list!

the looks issue has come up a lot here; would love to hear more about that at some point.

on a lighter note: this is YOUR page, i know, but you made me think of a bunch of other things to add to my own list. namely, i used to make "chicken" while i was little, by mashing pieces of WONDER BREAD. and, i flunked geometry in HS--TWICE. the first time, i received an F MINUS.

Hey Liz,

Thanks for the tag. The baby toe nail thing is funny because of teeny tiny baby nails as well! Lots of fun. I'm off to think of my list and will post soon.

Thank you for playing, I knew you'd have an interesting story!! You and I are kindred spirits on much of your list. Your cooking mixture sounds delightfully delicious btw.

HA! I also failed chemistry in college! I started out as a Fashion Merchandising major - which actually meant a number of chemistry courses - but switched to art after I got that big fat F on my report card!

I think at least a couple of times a year you oughta 'cook up' that concoction in #3...something that brings longing...deserves to have the longing satisfied...dont'cha think? ;)

i would be happy just being able to
do it...we used to go to a class here but they don't have it anymore...

Thanks guys - I am glad I am not alone in those lower grades in some courses...It took me years but I am now proud of that F. I went up over 1.0 points on a 4.0 scale the next semester - something to be proud of...
And I should make the concoction once again - not sure why I don't! Might be a treat to create this weekend!

Love the list! I'm horrid at math and married a rocket scientist math guy. Go figure..I'm sure glad someone in this house knows those things! :)

PS. I'm the WORST in math. I got a D in sophmore math when I was a senior and I think the teacher didn't want to see my face again, that's why he passed me. Can you believe a D is passing?? My husband is terrific in math so he's covering this when our girl is in school ~ otherwise my star status will diminish in my girl's eyes when she sees me counting on my fingers ~ lol!
