five really good things

a bit of patchwork

1. the grey's anatomy i know and love is back. finally. as of tonight.

2. when millie lays her head on my knee and sighs i actually feel my heart grow just a bit more.

3. slowly, at a turtle's pace slowly, beginning to like my much shorter hair. (and resting in the frivilous yet true knowledge that it is already growing.)

4. lighting candles throughout the house as evening begins. then whispering blessings into the world as i blow them out before i go to sleep.

5. playing with patchwork makes my soul jump up and down with glee.

i dare you to name five really good things of your own.
right now.

i'll list my five
cause you dared me to
of course...
heehee

and i had to say
i so agree about greys!
this one was the greys
i fell in love with...
it didn't seem as though
it was trying too hard to be
good....
it was just good.

1. Last night Daisy snuggled in with me and her litle chest was right against the inside of my arm so I could feel her heart beating.

2. Rainy morning, in my bathrobe, both of us home on a Friday morning and getting ready to go to the Cape for Oysterfest!

3. Not liking my new short hair but loving how I just "let it go" and don't even stress about it-- so unlike "me" years past.

4. Clean jeans right out of the dryer.

5. Venturing deeper and deeper into the creative life.

Ok, I don't have a five for you, although there are certainly quite a few good things around me. But the Greys? You really think its good this year? I'm struggling with it a bit. I am having such a hard time with Meredith's immaturity. Like can she just go to therapy already? I don't know... OH! But one good thing there is that in my fourplex, the entire house gets together in one apartment to watch it every week, and last night was the first night that I instituted an official thursday night drink. Mexican Hot Chocolate. That makes everything soooo goood!

Blessings to you!

lunarmusings -
this is the first week where i have enjoyed watching the show since before those ferry episodes last year. last week i was "so over" meredith and all of it. but this week i loved how they are showing mcsteamy's character a bit more and how he and derek are talking and bailey's storyline and how we got to see callie soften when bailey offered to help (i really haven't like how they were making callie seem a bit pathetic)...and with that last bit with meredith going over the file with lexie - maybe we are seeing her grow up a bit...

phew. there you have it. my thoughts about greys... (i could go on and on about how i haven't liked it since the ferry episodes and how they almost lost me at the end of last season...it was the ritual of thursday nights with mcdreamy that brought me back)
